GPM (Global Precipitation Measurement)

Project Overall Objective

The Global Precipitation Measurement (GPM) mission is one of the next generation of satellite-based Earth science missions that will study global precipitation (rain, snow, ice). Goddard is developing and building the Core Spacecraft that will be the calibration standard for the other satellites.

 Genesis Engineering Solutions’ task for this project

• Design, fabrication, and test of the Launch Release Mechanism (LRM)
• Testing and Integration of LRMs at each subsystem level
• Integration support of the Solar Arrays
